Sunday at Breakfast

Today is a beautiful day. Shane didn’t get his usual long Sunday walk because now his back leg is bothering him. He’ll be out of commission for about 5 days…same as last time.

Chores should be done today inside and out.  Yesterday was such a wet day, it makes trying to do the outside clean up difficult. The ground is so wet and soggy.

We went to breakfast with Angela and Nicholas.  Breakfast was enjoyable and it definitely was the added company that made it:

Such a happy baby.   So now we’ll go make the best of today and possibly enjoy some afternoon football.

Another reminder:  Vote on The Cake Picture! – please.  Scroll down to see the blog. I will probably move it to it’s own page soon so you don’t have to go all the way down the home page.

So you can imagine it is quite the party. A lot of people in a conservatively sized house, blasting the music and acting out their chosen Halloween Theme.  We had some Wall Street Fannie Mae’s; Joe the Plumber and a “Hockey Mom Sara Palin”; Chip & Mariann and her sister were the American Gothic painting (The old woman and old man farmers with a hay pick); Indiana Jones; Policemen; Ugly Betty; Robin Hood; A wizard; Red Riding Hood & the Bad Wolf….. and some other great costumes.
Marianne puts out so much delicious food:  Asparagus wraps; Stuffed and Breaded Shells; Stuffed mushrooms; 2 different kinds of meatballs; pasta dishes; dips; teriayki beef; sweet & sour pork; shrimp; sausage roll; brownies; cookies, candies…..wow!  It’s not a  “clean” eating night. But loads of fun.
Notice the dressed up Schultz & Dooley mugs?  Marianne dresses them up every year.
