I think we’re going to settle on the Tribeca.  blue car

There’s a sense of relief yet a little remorse… 1. we don’t have to speak to any more car salesmen 2. we have to let go of some cash.  Guess since we have to get the vehicle, we may as well take advantage of these economic down times at the dealership and lock into a good deal.

Accomplished some other tedious items today:  1. the advertising plan … for the most part anyway. 2. the month end summary and balances.  Phewww!  Can I now enjoy my week?!!! We’ll get ready for a meeting with a customer out of the UK and Sweden who are coming to visit on Monday.  That’s always interesting to hear what’s going on in other countries… on a first hand basis.  Ted and I will most likely be going to dinner with them so I’ll have to start thinking of a nice Italian place that’s open on Monday.

I went searching for a Gingerbread Bagel recipe but couldn’t find anything. Since I had that little taste at Panera’s yesterday, I’ve had a very lustful craving for more.  See what happens when bread, sugar, and spices meet?  Oh be STILL my heart!10142  Better move on to some “clean” eating thoughts…tonight we had Tuna Burgers for dinner.  Served over baked acorn squash, mashed. Side of oven roasted brussel sprouts.  Now I feel better.

—————————- On to Tuesday….. ——————–

This morning I woke up with such a pain in the left side of my chest, I thought the worst.  After getting up and getting dressed for a workout it eased up. I was thinking, while getting dressed, exercising will surely push me over the edge if its my heart… mind you, I’m not THAT old but people in their 20’s have been known to be hit by the “big one”.  I thought “I didn’t work my chest yesterday so that’s not the problem”  hmmmmm??? Then it hit me!  Last night I was trying to scratch my back a little farther than my arm would reach. I decided to turn it into a yoga stretch, slowly reaching further across and down my back. Must have done it too many times for too long because I think it pulled something in my chest.  That will teach me to turn a scratch into a yoga move.

This morning I tried another unique treadmill workout:  Total of 30 minutes.  First 15 minutes were spent walking at a speed of 4.5 with varying inclines as follows:

  • 1 minute at 2%
  • 2 minutes at 1%
  • 1 minute at 4%
  • 2 minutes at 2%
  • 1 minute at 6%
  • 2 minute at 4%
  • 1 minute at 8%
  • 2 minutes at 6%
  • 1 minute at 4%
  • 1 minute at 3%
  • 1 minute at 2%

The next 10 minutes, I ran mostly at 6.0 but took it up to 6.5. The next 5 minutes were between 6.6 and 7.0, all at a 1% incline.  Did a 45 minute leg workout.  Jogged/walked with Shane 35 minutes.  Pretty good start.

For breakfast, I decided on 1/4 cup Organic Rice & Shine with 1/4 of a chopped, peeled apple, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 tsp ginger, and 1 tsp. craisins. Brought to a boil, then simmered for 20 minutes. It wasn’t as sweet as I thought it would be, but had it as is anyway.  For protein I made a Tropical Fruit Jay Robb Shake with 3 oz Raspberries.  Now onto work!
