A day of rest

Do you think you sound like yourself on an answering machine?  A couple of days ago, Ted said there was a cake order on the answering machine. Pressing the message button, a voice began talking and my initial reaction was “its Stef!” Stefanie is my niece.  Then, hearing the message content, it dawned on me, the message was the one I left earlier in the day for Ted. Wow! That REALLY didn’t sound like me.  I said to Ted:  “THAT doesn’t sound like me… Does THAT sound like me?!”  He said (wink, wink)..”No…that doesn’t sound like you”. 

Friday is a rest day…

Happy Friday!  Today there is no gym workout. A nice slow run with Shane of 4 miles up to the zoo (Shane got nervous as I told him..”I’m taking you to the zoo” ), down Mohawk St., around Gibson, past MVCC and home.  It was just too nice this morning and I wish we could have stayed outside longer.   Shane was leaping at the crows on the telephone wires (as if he could get them :D).  That always reminds me of the song by Heart “Dog and Butterfly”.

Healthy eats

Friday Oats:  Bob’s Red Mill 10 Grain with 1/3 of a banana, cinnamon, and raisins. 

 

 

What about a shake? 

The protein shake was a scoop of VPX vanilla protein (80 cals,  zero carbs),  plus L-Glutamine, and 1/3 cup of frozen raspberries.

 

Not sure if I will post tonight because we are off to the first annual “Mun-Ixer”.  The Munson-Williams Friday night Mixer.  It will be fun because the weather is just right for it. Our friends will be there and the munchies and wine will be plentiful.
