A Give Away – Pay It Forward Bloggers

June 5, 2009 by applec

Back in April, Peggy of Pantry Revisited hosted a Pay-It-Forward Give Away

pi4[1]

and I was one of the lucky winners.  It is such a great way to “express friendship in our food blogging group where most of us only know each other by our screennames and photos” … those are Peggy’s exact words.  This is the wonderful gift received from Peggy:

A hand made towel with my initials sewn on and STARBUCKS Dark Chocolate Espresso Beans

The towel looks fantastic in its new home:

DSCN1202

It is now my turn to pass the Pay it Forward gift on to you in order to keep friendships growing in the blogsphere.  The rules are listed below, copied from Peggy’s site.   Please leave a comment letting me know that you would like to participate in “Pay it Forward” and if you were to win, what are some of your favorite flavors?   I will post three winners on June 12th, 2009.  The winner is chosen by assigning a number to your comment and randomly mixing the numbers in a hat/bowl for Ted to draw – eyes closed.  Real technical stuff.

What do you win? Let’s leave it as a surprise.  You can bet it will be an “Apple Crumbles” specialty. I can’t sew wonderful things, but I sure can create some crafty/tasty things with food….or maybe a favorite cookbook…how about your interests, yoga?…  Don’t worry – whatever it is will travel well.and packaged in an Apple Crumbles way 🙂

Rules : There are so many giveaways on the web and bloggers eagerly comment and post with the excitement of winning an unexpected gift.  Then someone wins and the generosity comes to a screeching halt and we go on with our lives. Nice, but lacking in momentum. This giveaway is a little different because the “receivers” are also to become “givers”.  In fact, that’s the most important rule of the game…The rules are simple: I will send three people who leave a comment on this post a handmade gift within the next 365 days. I am willing to post anywhere in the world, so don’t let that stop you from commenting. The catch is that you must have a blog and be willing to do the same thing.  Good luck!
*Please note: I will NOT wait 365 days to send your gift. It will be sent within 1 to 2 weeks of the drawing end.

So post your comment, don’t forget your favorite colors, interests and please pass the word along to other bloggers. Make some new “virtual” friends.
Aggie is giving away a couple of great cookbooks.. you have until tonight..check it out…
Another giveaway at Zestycook…click here … you have until June 8th on this opportunity to get a free site makeover.

I’d like to be included in the Pay it Forward effort. Sounds like fun…I always hope the big brown truck is bringing a surprise….usually not.

Flavors I like include, chocolate of course, fresh lime juice, most anything with ginger.

I’m a new food blogger, not quite a month, a long time cook, painter and designer so I’m having loads of fun connecting with foodies. my blog is http://www.carolegbert.com

    come take a look.
