The Routine

It’s Monday and back to the weekday routine.

Ted arrived home safely and full of weekend tales of “Men on Golf Outing Without Women”.  Based on most of the details, women wouldn’t have wanted to be present.  There was an unfortunate 12 year old boy that was the only other member attending the golf school over the weekend.  He was either entertained by the older 4-some or went home to tell his parents never to do that to him again.  Poor kid.Golf ball:10574

As  I said, it’s back to the routine which began at 4AM. It was a touch-and-go situation because in the bathroom, I started the water running to brush my teeth and prepare for the workout ahead.  I looked in the mirror, turned the water off.  Stared at myself some more. Turned the water back on.  Thought “I didn’t get to bed too early last night, maybe I’ll just go back to bed now“.  Turned the water off.  Looked at my clothes…”but I’m so awake“.  Turned the water on.  Turned the water off …”we’re having left overs tonight so I’ll have more time to workout after work….no…just get it over with“….. and FINALLY the water went back on and brushing and washing commenced.

It was chest day:  4 sets x 12 reps. Presses with long bar. Presses with dumbells.  Pec cross overs. Chest Flies.  It was also bicep day:  4 sets x 12 reps. Cable curls. Hammer curls. Rope bicep curls. Concentration curls.

The warm up was 20 minutes of ET and 15 minutes of rowing. Shane and I went for a 3 mile run.

Breakfast:  A VPX vanilla shake with 1/4 banana and Fuze.  Oats were Bob’s Red Mill 5 Grain with 3 dried plums and apple spice.

You must be back to your usual Monday routine as well.  Unless of course you are going on vacation in which event…Lucky You!  Have a good one whatever you’re doing.

Upon returning from our 3 1/2 mile run, Shane and I found Ted industriously wielding an ax in the back yard.  He has declared war on some very determined bamboo type brush that insists on growing and blocking our view of the waterfall in the creek.

As for the workout this beautiful Tuesday morning, it was chest and biceps, preceded by 37 minutes on the Elliptical trainer.

Breakfast was 1/3 cup dry (more than normal because it was the end of the package and I decided to finish it), cinnamon, and 3 dried plums.  Protein was a chocolate VPX shake with FUZE.

The day has begun with more energy around the house. Lets just hope it lasts today. Yesterday was ridiculous. Eyes were closing, feet were dragging, mind was shutting down…awful feeling.

Have a super, ENERGIZED Tuesday!
